Navigation screen fields

Anyone know how to get rid of the section on the bottom showing '0.0ft'? I can't seem to configure this to get rid of it.

  • I use UpAhead all the time.  Still limiting with only seeing the next 4 custom course points, but if you have a couple of turns or important junctions, you can still see the distance to the next aid station as well (assuming it's in the next 4 points).

  • Never used this feature myself before, but does up ahead allow to be off the course sometimes and come back!? For exemple : having a fit file of last year race track that has slightly change this year.

  • Once you go off course it just shows dashes, but as soon as you get back on course, it resumes showing valid values from your new location.

Easy to argue either way whether it should try to still give numbers or show dashes.  I tend to think current behavior of not showing data is the better solution since it has no idea the purpose of going of course (short cut, detour, lost), so no way to know how to make reasonable adjustments, so the numbers would almost certainly be wrong.

  • Tnx. I assume everything else is being register on background - and I can use other screens previously activated (not just the navigation map)? I just need to test is out, but not on a race day.

  • Yes, all your other data pages should work just fine.  ClimbPro and PacePro will go in to pause modes basically (not update) while off course, but both should recover and continue just fine when back on course.  The only field that can permanently get messed up from my experience is the course Elevation profile, especially if it's an out and back or lollipop course.
