Is it possible to turn off glances?

I'm coming to the 955 from my 945 where I was able to turn off glances and keep the old widget appearance.

Is this not possible with the 955? I actually prefer the widget view over the glances view. It was faster to see the information that I wanted. Now I have to scroll & click, vs before I only had to scroll.

i don't think you can, unfortunately. i asked the same when i bought my 945LTE last year and i was told that there wasn't a way. Glances seems to be the way Garmin is going moving forward.

thanks. I guess I'll see if I get used to it after a few weeks.

My initial impression from a few days of use is that glances have made it more cumbersome for me to view the data I want.

i'm with you. but i have used Glances for a year now so i've gotten used to it. i'm slowly breaking muscle memory after years of using only buttons, and using the touch screen a bit more. that makes going through the Glances much more quickly and a quick tap brings up the detailed view of a widget/glance i'm interested in.
