Following. T hat would be bad, same scenario for me but with the Edge 830. My 955 arrives on Tuesday!
I have a 1030 plus and got a 955 yesterday. The workouts on the 1030 plus seem to be registered on the 955 in acute load and recovery time, which feed into training readiness - so I think it will work…
Same here, VO2Max sessions put me in the red ! But that's taken into account outside of the intensity minutes metric, if only in the Recovery Time that's based on EPOC. It seems "Intensity Minutes" is…
Guess we’ll find out. After more research I think it’ll work. Check your Recovery Time on your watch. Upload an Edge workout. Sync your watch. And see if Recovery Time has jumped up. That’ll tell us. Arrives Monday.
That should work, with my current Venu 2 (for the screen)+530 setup, the training sessions on the V2 (that has zero metrics apart from VO2Max and BB (although Recovery shows up in Runalyze) are correctly passed on to the 530 and its training load widgets. Just make sure TrueUp and Physio TrueUp are activated on all your devices.
Yep - it works GREAT. Intensity Minutes don't transfer, but that isn't currently informing Training Readiness, so not too big a deal. Except now that metric is useless since it doesn't include cycling.
What do you mean ? That metric is supposed to show your readiness for any kind of endurance training, be it running, cycling and possibly swimming, no ? Or have you read anything to the contrary ?
It does work perfectly. My EDGE device does send load data to Garmin Connect, and my Watch does grab that data and updates Training Readiness. One gap, however... for some strange reason, INTENSITY MINUTES on the bike, using an EDGE device (1030) doesn't contribute to your INTENSITY MINUTES. It should... it knows your effort profile and how much time you spent in various zones. But that isn't included in the Psyhio Tuneup transfer. Just a miss, that I'm sure Garmin will fix. But that isn't included in the 6 things that go into the Training Readiness Score, so not a big deal to me.
I don't see "Intensity Minutes" being taken into account for Training Readiness, here's the list of all components : Sleep, Recovery Time, HRV Status, Acute Load, Sleep History, Stress History.
Sort of makes sense since "Intensity Minutes" would be included under "Acute Load" as general training load,"intense" or not.
I agree. Not an issue with Training Load. However, Acute Load is the total stress or load. So a 5 hour Century at low to moderate load might have a load of say 400? With few Intensity Minutes. A hard 1-hour VO2Max Interval session might have an Acute Load of 400? With a LOT of Intensity Minutes. I know, for me, my Readiness to Train the next day would be considerably less after the VO2max session, than a nice club century ride. So, maybe it should be included?
