Vibration in Breathework exercise not working

The vibration for the Breathework exercise signaling when to breathe in, hold your breathe, exhale,… is not working. I have already tried to toggle it off and on and I have also shut down the watch. Seems to be a bug.

  • Today it works. I know what the problem was. I tried it when my sleep time was already on. So this prevents vibration alarms in the Breathework activity. Would be better if this activity would still have active vibration alarms also during sleep time.

  • i think many of the Garmin's treat vibration this way. for eg, on my 945LTE, if i go out for a run early and before my set "wake time," it won't vibrate when my chest strap connects (it does get indicated on the screen).

i think you are the first person on this forum with the watch. how do you like it? do you care to share what you had before? (probably in a separate thread) i'm particularly interested in the screen visibility indoors relative to the prior 945LTE/945/935 with the new touch screen and solar layers likely causing some degradation.

  • Hi Derek. Thank you very much for your input. So I don’t feel alone anymore. I have also an Epix and a Tactix 7. The light weight and the comfort of wearing the 955 is awesome. The readability of the screen seems to be better than of the Tactix indoors. Which is kind of surprising. I love the option to have my training load and my current stress on my watch face. And the new metrics like HRV and the morning report are really well done.

  • glad to hear you are enjoying it. the weight is a huge difference IMHO. do you have the 955 or 955 Solar? the Tactic 7 i think has a sapphire lens which definitely will decrease the contrast of the screen relative to either version of the 955.

  • I have the Solar edition. And yes, the sapphire on the Tactix could be the cause. The screen on my 955 could be the best one I have had in a Garmin!

  • I couldn’t agree more. What’s weird for me is that vibrations worked at 3am still during sleep, but not at 10pm
