Speed (tempo)

I have the impression that my watch is not "following" me quickly enough in adapting the speed I am running. If I go quicker/slower it doesn't show that immediately. This morning it took like more than a minute before it showed the change on the screen.

Every second recording is on, GPS+Galileo is on.

Any help is welcome as I am training for a marathon & this is driving me crazy as I cannot seem to find the problem or solution.

Oh, I tought it always showed the current speed. How can I check whether it shows current or average speed ?

Do you by any chance have the average pace showing on your data screen? That would explain a slowly changing value.

Easiest is just to look at the value during your running. Current pace is updated every second. Stop and stand still. In a few seconds you should see that the value is showing that. The average value will never show that you are standing still.
