Body Battery says "Not enough data" in the iphone app

My health stats data is not syncing over to the app on my iphone. For example, my watch shows the body battery values and the day's plot of values. However, on my iphone Garmin app, when I go to Health Stats / Body Battery it simply says "Not enough data."  My normal workout data including HR, respiration, GPS track, etc. all sync fine. Any ideas as to what the problem is?  (BTW, I tried Garmin help via chat. I was effectively told to make sure my phone app and watch were all up to date. They are. Hence, this wasn't helpful.)

  • Have you done a hard restart (press upper left button for 35sec until screen goes black)? fixes most issues (will need to aquire gps or sync after)

Do you have your height, weight, date of birth, maximum HR all entered into your watches user profile?   Login online and click the watch logo on the upper right, then click the photo of your watch or name to go into the watches settings.  then click 'user settings' tab

How long have you had the watch and is it always been an issue?  It does take a couple weeks IIRC for the body battery and sleep score to be correct as it learns your resting HR and typical heart rate variability ranges (that indicate stress vs recovery/rest)

  • Restarting worked. Who knows why. Thanks for the reminder to do that.

  • I have the same issue. Doing a hard restart did not help.  Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • As a matter of interest what does the web site show. I had a situation where the widget on the web site showed that but the detail was correct when clicking to that.

  • SAME !  Just had the issue yesterday.  But the problem resolved itself later in the day I think, and is fine today.  (Android and Windows)

  • Mine was IOS and Mac ...so it is / was some generic Garmin backend issue
