Forerunner 945 not acquiring satellite signal Australia

My two year old Forerunner 945 has stopped acquiring satellites. I have waited up to 10 minutes in open space with the satellite signal remaining small and red.

I have tried sync multiple times with Connect, turned off-on multiple times.

Any suggestions?

Sync with Garmin Express. That often fix issues. It will update the CPE file. Check in Settings > System > About that CPE is Current. You have to press 15 times on the down button to see the CPE status.

Restart the watch by holding the light button until watch shuts down and then start it again.

Make sure the date and time is correct.

Thanks for the suggestions. I can't seem to find the CPE file information you mention, is that in Garmin Express?

I've tried all the other steps, but still struggling to get a connection. It acquired a signal 25min into my run today, but when i stopped it dropped them and wouldnt connect again.

You see CPE on the watch in Settings > System > About
