Di2 data screen switch

can I scroll through the screens of my forerunner 945 watch with the di2 buttons?

  • Interesting! So, the short answer is, no you cannot use di2 buttons to navigate a Forerunner 945 menu, since that is reserved to Garmin Edge devices.

However, you can use the FR 945 to view some di2 data, provided you have a wireless unit (EW-WU101 or EW-WU111) connected to your di2 system, or you are relying on a wireless derailleur.

What Are the Benefits of Pairing a Garmin Device With a Di2 System?
    • View the battery life of the Di2 system using the Di2 Battery Data field.
    • View front and rear gear data. (with the 945 only for 11 speed, 12 speed needs a 955 or above)
    • Export ride data to third-party sites that analyze gear shift data.
    • Edge devices can be configured to control certain functions using the hood buttons embedded into some Dura-Ace Control Levers. For more details, see Related below.

    Using Electronic Shifters
Before you can use compatible electronic shifters, such as Shimano® Di2Tm shifters, you must pair them with your device (Pairing Your Wireless Sensors). You can customize the optional data fields (Customizing the Data Screens). The Forerunner® device displays current adjustment values when the sensor is in adjustment mode.
