I have been a Garmin user for decades and love Garmin’s products. I am mainly a runner. But over the last 12 years I started playing golf. Last month I upgraded my running watch and I jump to the opportunity to get the Forerunner 945 so I could use it during, runs, bike rides and golfing. I am very, very impress with the options the forerunner offers and how well they work. I have used the strength features and others I do not usually use and they work great for a persons who is not an expert on those activities. But, when I used the golf feature on my new 945 Forerunner I was REALLY, REALLY DISAPPOINTED with the lack of flexibility of self track your shots. And I am surprise with the watch is missing this feature. The self shot track is a great track and most of the time works great. So it seems to be that the self shot tracking would be an easy feature to add. I do not think it will any difference than tracking laps in a run and having the autolap feature on. Which I do when I go for runs.
