Battery draining quickly when updating firmware to ver 13.0 ?

Hello

Previously, my Garmin 945 watch, after fully charged, can be used for about 5-6 days with these daily activities such as cycling, walking for an average of 1h-1h30'/activity.

Now when updating to ver 13.0 via Garmin Express, it only works for two days. Does everyone have the same problem?

I want to revert to the old software version, how do I do that ?

Thanks

  • On my 945 version 13 is the one that offers more autonomy

  • A mí, con la 13, o no llega a detectar gps o lo detecta al llevar bastante avanzada una actividad….. me gustaría volver a la versión anterior, es posible?

  • You're right, it happens to me often too

  • hola  tungvt me  pasado lo mismo con mi 945 tres meses de uso, desde que se instalo la versión 13.00 la bateria se agota en un día.

  • same here .. version 13 the battery is drenaid with all sensors off

  • I have the same issue now after the new update version 13.0

I got the update through Wi-Fi.

  • I've faced this since ver 12 and above.

and now it seems garmin has no plan for its users to come over this problem and this is why I don't recomment anyone else to buy or at least updating thier Garmin

  • Same problem after update to version 13 (

  • So about 2 weeks ago I sent my 945 back to Garmin because the watch was no longer connecting to Garmin Connect. Thanks to Garmin’s excellent customer service they sent me a new 945. However since the replacement watch would not load past the “converting GXP files” page, I had to send another one back. Once again Garmin demonstrated outstanding customer service by giving me free one day shipping and apologized for the inconvenience. However I received another replacement 945 and the battery drains like no other. The watch goes from %100 to %60 just overnight. Since I wasn’t using the first 945 that I sent back to Garmin I don’t remember this level of drainage being normal and I don’t know how the latest update has affected the watch. I also noticed that you have to keep turning on Pulse Ox because it keeps turning itself off. I have the Fenix 6x pro solar and I’ve never had either of these problems. It’s a shame because I intended to switch back to the 945 because I prefer its design and size over the Fenix. Hopefully these issues get sorted out.

  • I've been struggling with battery drainage for a while now as well. Now once I disabled Smart Notifications last week, battery seems to be working better again. As I don't really care about notification on my watch, it's grand for me.
