Garmin Express Error installing the update FR945

My FR945 deleted the US Topo maps when I tried to update to the most current 2023.1 maps.

Now I get an error that the update failed and I have no maps on the watch. Called support ... no help at all.

Maybe someone here can help me restore the base US map that came with the watch. I tried on both my PC and MAC

get the same error. Tried a full reset of the watch as well. Maybe this is a life time licensing issue? At this point

I would be happy with the older maps.

You need to contact Garmin Support directly.

Thanks I tried that with phone support but they only have instructions for Garmin Express and that does not solve the problem.

This doesn't sound right. I would call them back and refer to your open case number.
