My FR945 only syncs when my Iphone when headphones are connected.

My FR945 only syncs when my Iphone when headphones are connected. I tried basics like reinstalling app, removing device and restarting devices. I even need to have headphones paired on my watch so I can resync it with Garmin Connect. Any clue?

Iphone SE (2nd gen) is iOS 16.5.1 (C)

Watch is version 13.00 (e80dcb4)

Have you tried to completely remove the Headphones from the watch ?

Also is this a new thing or has this happened always ?

Did you "forget the device" from iPhone BT settings when doing the remove and reinstalling the GC App?

When I had BT related issues I've done the following:

1. Remove Garmin device from BT settings on iphone "forget device"

2. Remove GC app on iPHONE

3. Soft Reset Garmin

4. Soft Reset iPhone

5. Reinstall the GC app and sign in to Garmin account

6. Re-Pair the watch to the GC app/phone

It only syncs when headphones are connected to the watch.

I've try your suggesting and beyond (hard reset of the watch). Still the same issue. I feel it starting acting like this after I've done an update on my Iphone last Saturday.
