Since recent swimming battery gets empty after 2 hours without doing any activity?

Hi there,

I am using my 945 since 2 years now for triathlons. After full charging the battery lasts at least a few days, sometimes almost a week.

After my latest swim the watch went out, after restart and recharging it went out after 2-3 hours without doing anything.

I did not install any new features or something.

I already tried an update and default settings reset. Nothing changed.

Does anybody have a clue what to try instead?

A change of the battery is obviously not possilbe.

Thanks a lot to all and keep on running.

  • Try this:

Connect to Garmin Express on computer. Sync and install any updates.

Restart the watch by holding the light button until the watch shuts down and then start it again.

That usually fix most issues, but 2-3 hours battery time sounds like something else is wrong.

  • Hi, thanks for your support. Did this already, didnt change anything. I guess, mabye due to the swimming something happend inside, and the reason may not be a software issue.

But then that means, that there may be no rescue for the watch and I would have to replace it ;-(

  • mabye due to the swimming something happend inside

I agree. Since it started right after the swimming.

Start a support case with Garmin and see what they have to say about it.

  • Thanks buddy, will do so.

Just wondering, if somebody else had the same issue...
