Garmin Pay seeks second PIN number at time of purchase

Garmin Pay asks for a second pin and no matter what I enter it says it’s not valid. I have entered my Garmin pay code and also the pin for the card that is on my Garmin and both are rejected at multiple stores. What number is it looking for?

it accepts the first pin (the four digit garmin code I set up) and “dings” for payment but then asks for another code. 

  • I've never been asked for a pin in the card reader at the store and been wondering when or if it will ask for one. My guess is that it should be the code that you use for the card, but since it never has happened to me I can't verify.

  • Besides the normal "recommend a hard restart" if you haven't done that recently...

    I would try to remove that card and set up a different card. 

    i have never had that issue in the half dozen or so times I have used Garmin Pay

  • Thank you SO MUCH! I did the restart and it worked!!! Truly grateful! The new prompt said “type passcode or hit enter” so I hit enter and the purchase went through. The card I’m using is Evolut so maybe that gives a different prompt. Really appreciate the help!
