Hi - my watch is out of warranty and Garmin wants me to pay $160 to replace the watch with a bad back button. I see this is a fairly common occurrence. Has anyone successfully had theirs replaced out of warranty?

it was registered in nov 2021. the issue happened in may of 2022. I didn't think anything about it because i upgraded to a new 955 (it's own slew of issues)
i just fired the 945 back up and the button isn't working - texted garmin today.
The 945 was the 2nd replacement for a cracked HR monitor glass. they send me a refurb one.
