We still have no answers on the HRV.

Another beta launched yesterday (11.73), and this feature, already present for months in the F6, has still not been incorporated.

The only thing that FR945 users repeatedly ask for is an explanation from someone in charge of the company.

  • That hasn't ever seemed like the intent of this forum since I have been using it for last 4-6+years, it is mainly a user based forum.  This is a very typical product/brand approach, either contact support... or try the user forum for help/advice.

Yes occasionally Garmin-Kevin or Blake and others will get involved, typically with a technical support issue that involves a Support ticket and an issue.

Not new feature requests or feature discussion or various use cases.

  • totally agree with you, and I think this is exactly the right place to talk about it, not support.

  • I also agree. I currently own four Garmin devices, and thinking about a fifth one. However, I bought the 945 at release time because it was the top-level running watch at that time, and because I assumed that at least the top-level devices will keep improving over time through updates. If this is not going to happen, I want a justification from Garmin (e.g. not technically feasible because of sensors). It's not that I'm in a hurry, but the current updates seem to imply that the 945 will mainly receive bug fixes, so it does not seem to be a matter of time.

If no updates and no information on the cause is coming, I will most likely leave the Garmin ecosystem, and not because I'm particularly unhappy with my devices, but because I have lost trust in Garmin - not going to guess again whether the device I'm going for will stay up-to-date...

And this is for sure nothing for support, but for the forums.

  • Just add a personal reflection: when I bought 945 in November 2020 after a disappointing 645M (junk), I did it for what it was offering at the time, just hoping it would work better in the future without the usual Garmin bugs, so it is today and I gained sleep tracking with a very accurate body battery on me. From what I understand they provide updates only to the series closest to that of the moment F7-> F6 955-> 945 lte, too bad that the latter is not marketed all over the world and is smaller than the 945 with relative different autonomy , a private company does what it deems most appropriate, answers on the forum will never give any, I just say that 945 lte seems to me an anomaly because it is not available in all states.

  • Intuition: There is a chance that in the 12.0 update we will finally have HRV on our FR945s.

  • Is this supported by any fact/mention from Garmin? Otherwise it's wishful thinking as of right now.

  • Well, and we have version 12.0, as you know there is no HRV there.
What needs to happen for Garmin to answer a simple question - will the FR 945 have HRV support?
