I have the hrm-tri and the data field from Garmin and it has been recording running power for more than a year. For now, apparently, you still need the chest strap anyways.
A chest strap is always required to measure power. So far, our watch can only do this with the Power Running application. 955 and fenix without application, but only with a chest belt
And can you set a target power? I set it on the IQ but I can't configure a training with power. And I use another method (like TP or Intervals.icu) to create training it set the range but it stays without value (-). On the screen that I set the current power it shows the current power, but it didn't show the power in the range screen. Do you know how to set it to work? Thanks.
