Forerunner 945 stopped working. No heart rate, no step count, no lights.

Hi all,

my 945 seems to be malfunctioning. For a week now I have no heart rate measurement (no lights at all), no step count, no stress, no body battery, no pulse ox.

When I visit the pulse ox widget it says: "pulse oximeter version mismatch. Update software." I did recently update the software on the 945 but I don't recall that the errors came immediately afterwards. I have uninstalled the widgets and installed them again, repeatedly restarted the watch but nothing worked. It's annoying because I can still do workouts and have them GPS tracked but I get no load, no cadence and no heartrate measurements.

Are there any fixes to this? Is this a common problem with others at the moment?

Have you tried to reset or downgrade?

Go to Setting, System, About. What versions are there for software and sensors?

Thanks for the suggestion. My software version is 11.10 but somehow bmx (0.0.0), WHR (0.00.00) and sensorhub (0.00) are all non-existent.

Hi,

Any solution to the problem you described? A similar problem just happened to my 945…turned it off for a day and when I turned on again all sensors and Bluetooth stopped working. Rebooted the watch and also reset it to manufacture settings.

Yeah I tried all of those things and nothing worked. Eventually, I contacted the garmin customer service which can be done either via phone or an online chat function. I was directed to do the same, reboot the watch, uninstall and reinstall all of the software's that were malfunctioning. Nothing worked. In the end, they replaced the watch and sent me a new one which is working perfectly fine.
