Auto pause not working correct indoors

Just upgraded from 935 to 945, but noticed the auto pause feature no longer works with the 945.

Once I'm indoors, it continually pauses/restarts even tough I'm climbing stairs or just walking.

Is this happening with an activity that requires GPS?

Yes, but so did my 935.

You can’t expect autopause to work indoors with any activity that requires GPS. The GPS chip in the 945 is different to that in the 935. You were lucky that it worked with the 935.

While I'm sure you're correct, I still think it's a bug. It continues to count my steps and stairs, just thinks I paused, which I find a bit inconsistent.

Steps are always counted by the watch (except for biking activities). Same with stairs. It does that no matter if an activity is started or not.

Steps and stairs should always be counted no matter if you are in an activity or not. It is a part of the activity tracking. That part is not a bug.
