Open Water Swim GPS doesn’t work on Forerunner 945

The Open Water Swim on my Forerunner 945 doesn’t track my swim at all. The map shows I went about 1 meter.

it’s done this all 3 times I’ve used it.

how can I fix this?

so my hands underwater and the GPS is useless‍

Yep. Put the watch in a swim cap or tow float if you want swimming measurement while doing breastroke.

I have the same issue, although it's intermittent so some swims are fine, others a total failure. Has occurred around 7 or 8 times since March/April (was fine before that). Incredibly frustrating. Seems to start OK, and then just stops recording track. No issues with Run/Bike recording and I swim freestyle/front-crawl and had no issues with previous 735XT watch. Have tried on Smart recording and 1 Second. Have tried on GPS+Glonass and GPS only. Have made sure GPS was on and well fixed before starting too. Software version 10.40. I believe it's a software bug but hard to be 100% sure.
