How do you set a heart rate based alarm in pool swim?

On my fr945 if I choose

Pool swim -> pool swim settings - > alerts - > add new

The only options I get are distance, placing, calories

No heart rate.

Any way I can get that?

You can't. Even if you could, not sure the heart rate data from the WHR is sufficiently good to be of any use. And you won't get live HR from a strap.

Got it...

Anecdotally there certainly is a heart rate field the fr945 allows me to display on a pool swim data screen. It even seemed to reasonably match what I would guess my HR to be during a 90min session today.

That's why I was so surprised there was no alarm for it. Seemed like the hard part was solved.

@Garmin, if you are listening I don't get why there is no HR alert for pool swim.

The watch already does its best to measure my HR while in pool swim. (with the on-watch sensors, I get it that it cannot communicate live with any strap while in the water).

It already displays this HR field just fine.

It should allow us to create an alert for this HR field.
