Water of swimming pool kills FR 945 barometer & altitude sensor?

I have never been in the pool or in the sea but mine has the same problem since they made changes to the barometer, with hub 18.02 it has improved a little but it is not always exact, I do not change it because I do not want one refurbished and to some of the forum the replacement also broke, same problem with Fenix 6 from what I read in their section, I think it's a SW problem more than HW.

Agreed. That there is a barometer problem with some watches cannot be denied. However, since I spend a lot of time swimming in the sea and the pool and have not had any barometer issues, I can’t see a correlation. But that does not mean there isn’t one. Perhaps I’ve just been fortunate.

I just started having issues with altemerter and barometer like2 weeks ago. Temperature senor is ok. I swim in pool twice a week. Not sure if this is the proble, or if it started after last update.

Sometime ago, Gamin update made stop working the temperature sensor during swim activities. This was to avoid it to stop working.

I had similar issues with a 2 different units of 935.

I've had same issue and needed a replacement.   I swim 3x a week in the pool.  At Garmin's suggestion i rinse my watch off with fresh water when i get out of the pool.

I am now on my 4th watch for this issue. I swim in the pool 4 days/week, I wash with warm soapy water. It appears as though my watch altimeter has failed again. My run today recording 50k' elevation gain! In 7 miles!!! HA!

I’ve had my 945 since release. I swim 3 to 4 times a week in the sea and pool all year round.  I still have the original 945. 

I've had problems with the barometer on many watches, but since I don't swim much I see no relation with swimming in a pool or open water. I guess it must be something user related, since almost every watch I had developed some barometer problem (though I haven't found out what). Either this or I've just been very unlucky, since there are many whithout this problem.
