Amazon Music no longer syncs since SW 9.60

Since moving to 9.60, my 945 will not sync Amazon Music and gives a CIQ error message when I try to access a playlist - 

 - previously it said I needed to sync my playlists

- when I attempted to do that it never synced past 29%

- when I soft-reset the watch, it told me I needed to acquire GPS in order for Amazon Music to set the time/date stamps

- when I did that, it now begins a sync, then ends it - but when I access the playlists, I get the CIQ error message (it looks like the Garmin IQ logo with a warning triangle over it)

Do I need to uninstall Amazon Music?  I would rather not do that as I would then have to go through the manual process of adding my playlists again.

Anyone else having issues?

  • Update - I had to uninstall and reinstall the app.  That meant having to again authenticate the app to my amazon account, then browse/add all of the playlists I had previously, then sync each to the watch.  That's an hour of my life I'll never get back. (not to mention it took my 35% of my battery down)

    Incidentally, I am see posts in other forums here from all the other Garmin products that use Amazon Music and also recently got sw updates (Venu, Fenix, 245 etc) so this appears to be pretty darn widespread.

  • I encountered the same. There was an update to Amazon Music for me today (I don't launch Connect IQ very often) and it didn't help. So I followed the same time consuming process you outlined.

  • Sorry to hear it.  Probably the blame lies with the Amazon app developer, but who knows how much lead time they had when new SW is being prepped for release.  

  • And I'm back to incomplete syncs. It will routinely get to 3% and then never move from there. And there have been two Amazon Music updates in the interim. Now running Amazon Music 1.1.9. 93% of my storage is still available according to the ConnectIQ app.

    Anyone else seeing these issues again?

  • Looks like after getting the 10.40 update I'm back to being able to sync.
