My regular reminder/ask for Garmin to add Jumping Rope to activities. it's just completely bonkers that my 945 has freakin' Pickleball and "Breathwork" but doesn't have jumping rope.
Is it really hard to program an accelerometer to register skips?

Yikes. There has to be a country where jumping rope is legal.
I believe this activity somewhat actually exists, under strength workout. Maybe you can create a custom workout with only Jump Rope and it will register the skips? Try it out and please report back here…
Skipped today on a Strength workout and it registered about 15 “reps” in every 90 second skipping interval with probably 150-200 skips on the speed rope.

Not great, not ter... Well, that is terrible.
Well, they released a Jump Rope app, but frustratingly, it states it is not available for my country.

Looks like it isn’t available in the US.

I love (sarcasm) that in the app “esports” is an activity option on the Forerunner 945… but not other mainstream actual physical activities.
Thanks. Tried changing my location on the Garmin account details page, which normally works for region specific badges, but that failed. Using a VPN did the trick.
Still confused as to why this is only available in Japan? The data fields do show up in English on my watch.
