Wrong acoustic output for lap times

Even in the 9.60 there is still the wrong acoustic output via the smartphone for the lap times.
For all others, pulse 156, for example, is correctly output one hundred and fifty-six.
With the lap times, for example, 12 minutes 54 seconds, the output is then one two five four.
We are already dragging this error around with us in some versions, apparently it is not only available in the German language.
  • I believe it is caused by the phone. Which phone do you have?

My previous phone Huawei P10+ said each number for the lap times. Then I had a temporary phone with the Samsung A40 and it said the numbers correctly. With my new phone the Pixel 6 Pro it also works.

If I connect the headphones directly to the watch it is also correct.

  • Thank's. I have this problem with an old Nexus 5, a Samsung S10, a Samsung S21 5G and now with my new Samsung S22. All language is on this units German. Which is your used language?

  • I'm using Swedish for the voice prompts

I switched to Deutsch and it works there as well.

You change the language for the voice prompts in the Connect app: [your device]->Activity Options->Audio Prompts->Language

  • In Connect app: [your device]->Activity Options->Audio Prompts->Language the tests sound right in all languages, but not in reality, yesterday I try again in a run and it was wrong in headphones first round, in second round without headphone the smartphones where wrong again. Garmin support told me, that they know this problem but the translation are complex.

  • With my new phone it has been working until today. I've now switched to English and the lap time was read number by number. The average pace was read correctly.

  • This is exactly the problem I described with the 945 firmware, this incorrect announcement has been around for over a year now.
