topoactive europe 2021.20 - Missing street details (norway)

After updating my Forerunner 945 to the official "topoactive europe 2021.20", i no longer can see smaller streets and paths. The setting for details is high, Ive tried to downgrade from the 9.58 beta, and ended up completely reseting the firmware to 9.00.

However, Oslo keeps only showing the highway and pretty much no other street.

I can see other watches have problems with "topoactive europe 2021.20" due to size, but that is not my problem. Ive removed the maps from the watch, and reinstalled the maps. Ive removed the local map files in Application Support, and re-downloaded the maps off of garmin express, but to no avail.

I've tried to see if i can find the 2021.10 version instead, but had no luck with that either. Are anyone else experiences this? Or have a solution?

Only solution I can offer is install some openstreetmap for your region. With good option you also get contours.

It should definitely show the streets with a higher zoom level. They are shown on my FR945:

I had this same problem with an old version of the Garmin software for macOS. The map is split into two files…

But I kind of doubt that the topo active should have them, maybe reinstall would help or something, but in the other hand the OSM maps are better as they have more trails and contours and so on. So don't know is it worth to try to figure out what is the problem :)

I had this same problem with an old version of the Garmin software for macOS. The map is split into two files and only one was loaded correctly. Reloading the maps from a Win10 PC fixed the issue, an update of the Garmin SW for macOS came out a few days/weeks later and I had no issues with map updates since.

This seems to work as well. Deleted Garmin Express and reinstalled it again, as well as downloading maps and everything, so now I got both types of maps. Very grateful for all the help.
