High Calorie Count

I did a cycling activity today, recording on my Edge 530.  The activity shows 1,277 calories burned.  I realize that includes the RMR calories.

I've done about ~5,000 steps of casual walking around the house/taking my kids to school/walking the dog and and as of 10:30 this morning, my total calories burned for the day shows as 1,755 Active Calories (plus 855 Resting Calories).

If I assume that my cycling activity contributed ~1,000 calories to the Active Calories, that means that my walking contributed an additional ~750 calories to my total Active Calories burned for the day.

I checked my heart rate graph for the morning, and there are a about ten minutes of slightly elevated readings (i.e., ~100 bpm when I would expect ~80 bpm), but otherwise everything is within normal range.

Is this some crazy EPOC, or is there some weird interaction in the physio true up between my Edge (which is new to the equation) and my 945?
