Last Saturday went to 4 hour pool swim to do this program:
So the start here opened:
5x (150m freestyle, 50m backstroke)
10x 100m kicking with fins
10x 400m freestyle with pullbuoy.
And it took me about 50min to get to the 10x400m part.. and during the first 400m I looked at my Garmin and I had watch face, probably so long time with just kicking apparently can crash Garmin. The funny(?) thing here is that I wasn't only one affected by this, there as one other guy with Fenix with exactly same experience. Watch crashed and showed watchface. So apparently there is some crash that can be triggered by doing approx 30 minutes swimming just with kicks and Garmin shows 0m swim during that period and after you start again to swim => CRASH. But in the other hand some others said that they also had Garmin that didn't crash. But kind of two identical crash experiences with 945 and Fenix, this kind of is clear software bug.
I can only speculate that the long just finning part causes something that then when you continue swimming causes crash. Maybe like the swimming style detection algorithm is the reason here.
After the crash it didn't show anything in the history right after in the watch, but was surprised that it synced something to Garmin.
This is that what it synced: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/8569664349
Interestingly shows time 57 minutes to the crash? But all the graphs stop probably around the time started the kicks.
Also one interesting thing is that it showed me 1125m before the crash, during and after the kicks, but the crashed distance is 1025m (which is more accurate to reality).
Has anyone else managed to crash the Garmin during pool swim?
