Forerunner 945: Wrong stride length for outdoor run when paired with RD Pod

I updated my FR-945 from version 5.50 to 9.60 a couple of days ago. I am experiencing the same problem, for some parts of the run the stride length is 0.5 or 0.6 m. Obviously, this is affecting the vertical ratio (now I understand why the number and chart for it were so weird)

Summary about last versions:

9.00:  Bad

9.56 beta: OK

9.58 beta: OK

9.60: I have not tried myself due to rather long pause in running, but according to earlier messages here it does not work properly

10.10: I have not tried

10.40: does not work properly - tried today and got stride length about 50 cm. According to cadency and distance the average is 0.93 m, not 0.50 m

Thanks for your comprehensive summary. Sad to read that 10.40 is not working OK :-(  (I am still waiting for that update). It's really awful that Garmin doesn't provide a way to perform a rollback (or a way to download old beta firmware), especially when its software is really terrible. In each update they fix a few thing and always destroy a lot of others (that's why I spent a lot of time in version 5.50, because for my needs it was working OK).

Very interesting topic. 

I had a Forerunner 245 with the running pod and I had issues with stride length and vertical ratio not being calculated or visable. 

I thought my running pod was broken. Then I bought the new Forerunner 955 so I was thinking to try again the running pod, but same problem, no vertical ratio and stride length was again broken. 

So I certainly knew my pod was broken. So I bought a new running pod and the very first run, no stride length and no vertical ratio, or data was corrupted. 

Now I have 2 running pods, waste of money and no data, what is going on Garmin?

Thanks for analyzing the issue. In my case it started when I updated from firmware 5.50 to 9.60. Still happening in 10.40.
