Trails not on map

Question about maps and new trails. If there's a relatively new trail, I can understand why it wouldn't show up on my 945's maps. But how long does it typically take for that to happen? Or is there a way to submit a missing trail for the next update?

Are the trails in OSM*? If not, I would add them there. I think Garmin is also using that data at least in about OpenStreetMap contributors are mentioned.

It may be worth zooming in a bit - minor trails/roads can get hidden at when zoomed out.

I've done this for a few trails that weren't on maps (add them to OSM -- they weren't there). It then took a couple months to get into the Garmin maps (clearly Garmin isn't pulling OSM maps daily), but those trails show up on my 945 now.

Well I think the map updates are like 2 per year. So it might take time, but good to hear that it works :)
