how do i clear 'other' storage in forerunner 945 using garmin express mac OS?

My forerunner 945 indicates there are 7.3 gb of "other' data. Which I have never installed anyhting (music and maps).
and most of it, I'm only using running swimming and strength.
I deleted the history and the total records, but it did not do anything to the storage.

is there any way to clear or delete the 'other' data?
Appreciate for your help. thanks

  • Same. im at 11GB of other

  • I had a similar issue with my 965 recently and firmware updated wouldn't even load due to lack of disk space.

I found that I had many .img files (maps ) that were causing an issue.

Using Android File Transfer (an App for Mac) , i deleted all the large .img files from the watch.

BTW best to do a copy of the GARMIN drive before doing so incase you need to put something back later..

I then used Map Manage to load the maps I wanted (as few as possible)

    This solved my problem

  • but the thing is.. I don't know which files should I erased..
may be you could help me..
    I attached the directory
    thank you so much
