Steps While Sleeping

My 945 recorded 4628 steps between 12:15a and 1:00a, despite it also showing that I was in REM and light sleep during that time and my heart rate remaining consistent (i.e., I was definitely asleep and not running at a 174 spm cadence)

I'm curious as to what might have caused the errant reading, but also how I can remove those steps from my day.

  • That sure seems strange, must have been a sensor malfunction.  I would restart watch for something to try.

Unfortunately Garmin doesn't allow editing of 'daily summary' type stats like resting heart rate, maximum daily HR, training load info, steps, stress, etc... BOO!  So... just have to keep eye on it.  IF a common issues in past, I would try to warranty it if possible maybe.

I've never noticed that on my watch, looking back a week , the most I have seen overnight was 31 steps... could have been bathroom stop mixed with tossing/turning?  wife says I'm pretty twitchy tossy turny... so i can imagine i would get 'steps' occasionally. lol
