garmin 945: shortcut to enable/disable thoracic band

In order to limit battery energy, I move the heart thoracic band research status in ON only when is used. This gesture could be confortable using a shortcut by commands or something of similar.

It' exist this possibility?

You will only see searching when you are in the sensors menu since it is only when it will be searching (and during a started activity). When you leave that menu the searching will stop.

The watch will only search for sensors like the chest strap if an activity is on or if you are in the sensors menu so no need to turn it on and off.

Without an activity started but on the cheap strap sensor, the watch show "researching: I don't understand if it are researching only when actually the activity is running or isn't. The message in not clear.

I will monitoring the battery to understand

The watch will not use a chest strap without an activity so it would be pointless for it to search and connect to sensors.
