Buy FR 945 now or wait??

In the market for a new MS watch. Leaning towards the FR 975 (over the 745 and Fenix) but only concern is will we see a newer model released in the short term?

Guess no-one really knows the answer but not followed release dates for Garmin products in recent years so any clues/thoughts would be useful.

Ok, then I don't see there's nothing coming this year that would affect your selection. So select from the currently available options :)

Why not actually BUY any watch and train your ass off instead?:) that seems the best investment of them all!

Yup, there are rumours of a potential January (AMOLED ) Fenix 7.

Isn't the whole point of having the watch being faster? The watch, be it Garmin 935/ 945/ 955 does not run by itself, as far as I know. More than this, I can almost guarantee that you are not gonna use it to its full capacity in terms of features. I cannot understand this fear on missing out the newest watch:)

It doesn't but with 945 data one is faster than 935, but that really isn't what people want. People would like accurate data. If the next watch would have better GPS it would be greatly welcomed and reason to upgrade.

I can easily understand this fear on missing out the newest watch if that watch will bring something new that you find useful or you are waiting to get.

Like I'm still kind of annoyed of the GPS accuracy loss with the Sony chipset :( My friend upgraded his old V800 to newer Sony chipset watch and was really pissed of the accuracy.

Why not go cheap(er) watch plus Stryd? Buh bye GPS issues, hello running with/by power

That's very limited solution for multisport watch. Works on running and only when you have somewhat constant stride not going to work where the trails have rocks/roots and when you are just running in the forest.

You can't wait if you need a watch for fitness now. At least not for me.

You can always buy first and sell the 945 off if there is a new upgrade.
