Battery drain while powered off...

Recently, I've noticed my 945 Tri has a battery problem. I don't run long enough for it to be GPS or HR, etc, and I only wear it when I actually run nowadays. What I noticed is that it is draining power when it is OFF. I turn the watch off using the Power Off selection after every run, and then store the watch in my case. I pull the watch out two days later to run again, and find the battery significantly drained. Two days ago, I checked the percentage before powering the watch down... 68%. This morning, I powered the watch up for my run... 50%. The watch has been powered down for two days! What in the world is going on here?

  • Not sure about the 945 cuz I wear mine all the time, but I know in the past watches (FR 235) that my wife and I had it was a known situation.  My wife didn't wear hers much, would still need to charge it frequently even though only using it for 30-60min activities per day, where i would do similar 45min+ workouts a day, sometimes multiple or multi hour... and my battery would last nearly as long.  I was some sort of 'current leak' or similar that would allow battery to draw down ever so slightly even while not "on" and/or powering the switches and switch monitoring electronics, etc.
