Replacement back case

Hi everyone,

Ive had my 945 since it launched in the UK but it is getting a bit long in the tooth now. THE OHR has a crack on it but more problematic is its getting more and more difficult to charge as I think the contacts on the power socket have corroded a bit (tried cleaning them to no avail).

I've seen replacement cases available on eBay and what not but how easy are these to install. Im quite comfortable taking things apart but less so when you have to start using heat guns and what not get the glue off the screen. Has anyone else done this replacement?

Worth asking as they might offer you a refurbished watch at a much reduced price.

Why don’t you call Garmin and get a warranty replacement if it is failing?

I think I’ve had it 2.5 years so I don’t know what eligibility I would have for that now

Have you checked the pins on the charge cable as well as just the watch itself? (Apologies if I'm stating the obvious, but I thought I'd mention it just in case).
