Average Heart Rate for Intervals or Workout steps?

I have been training with the forerunner 945 and have been using the recommended workouts. At the end of the workouts, it will tell me my average heart rate for the entire run. It will also tell me time, distance, and average pace for each step of the workout and each interval (usually a mile). However, I can't find out where to see average heart for each step of interval of the workout. Is that available on the Garmin connect app for my workout?

  • I see the average HR on my watch (although when I checked now I went into the last activity and pulled up the history, but basically it should be the same - look under Laps in the details). And yes, you can find it both on Garmin Connect for mobile as well as web.

  • Ah...found that data for lap on my watch (although not on y garmin connect as well, for some reason).  Thanks!

  • The per-lap data is also available in Garmin Connect Mobile and Web as well. It includes average and max heart rate for each lap.

  • The lap avg heart rate can be found in the Intervals section of the workout;

  • Thanks.  When I go to the intervals section of my workout, it shows:

    Int:         Type            Time              Dist                 Avg. Pace

    It's missing the other columns.  Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot, or I need to change settings.

  • To see additional columns on the App you can turn your phone sideways (landscape view) and then you will be able to slide finger to the side to scroll to the right further!

    Much easier to view the data on the website.

    Brooks one good addition for the summary page where it gives a 'Workout Intervals' summary, with total 'Run Time' 'Run Distance' 'Run Pace' is great for running!  However if you do bike intervals AND have a power meter... really should have Power, not speed... as speed on bike intervals is somewhat irrelevant.  Sucks after doing 5 vo2max intervals on bike and then having to go and add up the Avg Powers of each Lap...and divide by 5 to find Avg.  No biggy... but sure would be nice!

    Adding avg HR to that section would also be somewhat helpful.

  • I see now.  Thanks!

  • This used to work for me but a week ago it stopped showing me the extra data when I turned the iPad. I really miss seeing the average heart rate for each mile. Any suggestions on how to get it back?
