Jaybird compatibility of GPS 5.30 Sensor Hub 9.01 and System 7.80

Hello!

After Garmin messed up with Jaybird for many updates, I am afraid of updating anything and disabled automatic updates. So, has anyone updated to the latest version and is using Jaybird Vista?

Thanks!

  • Yeap.

First time getting issues with my Jaybird Vista. Please fix it!

  • Thanks! I am glad I did not jump in the update this time Slight smile

  • My Jaybirds have been dropping out for the last few releases, including the 7.75 beta, but since updating to 7.80 they have been pretty stable so far.  I'm at about 80 miles on 7.80 without issues, and I did a 20mile long run yesterday with no issues.  I also made sure to do a power reset after the update, by pressing and holding the light button until the screen shut off, and then press again to turn on.

It might be a matter of time, but so far 7.80 has been working okay for me at least.

  • Thanks! I've now updated it also, I did some 10 k runs and it is working fine for me.

  • I had my first case of disconnects with the Jaybirds and 7.80 today.  It is similar to my first experience when I first got my watch.  Everything was working flawlessly for about a month, and then things went sideways.

The only other thing is that I have noticed my battery is draining really fast over the last couple days compared to my previous experience.  :/  I've done a hard reset of both the headphones and the watch now, so lets see if it is fixed for my run.

Edit:  nope, the run was a mess with disconnects.  I had to turn off the wifi and phone connection in the menu to keep my jaybird connection, and the battery drained 30% in 40 minutes, which is pretty unusual.  Grimacing
