Is Daily Workout Broken?

Is my Daily Suggested Workout broken? And if it is, how do I fix it?

For the last ten days, my Daily Suggested Workout has alternated between a Base Run of 30 min at 11:00/mile and a Rest Day. That's five runs and five rest days. In the meantime, my VO2 has gone up two points.

I would have thought that, at a minimum, my target pace would have increased. But that's a lot of rest days, and none of the more interesting sprint or internal trainings.

Should I just keep following the suggested workouts, or what?

(I'm on a 945 on software version 7.20)

    DSW exists to improve performance, not to entertain you.

    It seems that DSW has scheduled a recovery week for you, and you have seen a performance improvement from it. 2 points is a nice increase in VO2Max from following the program, I'm not sure I understand the sudden desire to try something else.

  • It definitely sounds you’re in a recovery period. I had about 2 weeks of all base work. Recently started get lots of tempo and interval work. Once you start the faster runs I’m sure your VO2 will increase again
