Garmin 945 and Polar OH1 while swimming

I have a Garmin 945 and Polar OH1. Can I download the HR data from the OH1 after the swim or is there any other way I can register the OH1 heart rate data and send it to the watch while swimming?

  • Downloading: I don't think so, unless the OH1 is compatible with the Garmin HRM-Swim or Tri. If you wear the OHR really close to the watch, it could work to send the HR while swimming (it's what I used to do years ago with a Scosche Rhythm OHR), but it's probably better to enable the built-in OHR for swimming.

  • yes you can download the data after the swim but only to Polar FLOW

you could wear th eoh1 attached to your goggles with the polar clip and very occasionally when the oh1 and 945 are in the air the two might communicate as you swim.

As @twinaxx says, if you put them close together you might find it works. but they need to be touching. as a test submerge your wrist in your sink at home.

  • Thanks! And if I download to polar flow, can I then merge these Hr data to garmin connect to this specific training, so the Hr gets substituted?

  • Did you ever get an answer to this? My issue exactly!
