Segment alert strava

Hello,

I've issues with alert when strava segment is started, I've no notification when segment is starting.

I've checked several parameters :

* no intineraire is started,

* connection of my strava account is done on garmin connect

* on strava website, segment has been selected on favorite before the run

* on watch parameter, segment alert has been selected

I've contacted garmin support, they suggested to initialize the watch, I've done it this morning but always no notification when segment is started.

Has anyone been able to use this feature?

Yes it has worked well for me in the past. Feel like I had to unselect the feature and reselect it the first time to get it working maybe in the Garmin App I think.

Live segments do not work on a free Strava account. Make sure that you have a Strava Premium subscription. I just checked it today and the segment alert works for me.

Personally, I think that it is a good time for Garmin to continue developing and improving its own segments. But Garmin doesn't seem to do that. So we all are forced to pay to Strava.

Nobody is forced to pay Strava anything. I've created a number of segments in Garmin Connect and synced them to my watch without issue. They seem to work just fine.

Live segments do not work without payment, but we are not forced to pay :)
Usage of Garmin segments is inconvenient and in general they are buggy and outdated.
Stop flooding, the main question was answered above.
