How long does it take to display your sleep on your 945?

I have tried everything I can think of to get it to display. I am on the 7.2 software. I have tried to get sleep to display for a hour or more.
tried:

turning off and on the watch, app, phone app, sync phone app, sync watch.

iPhone XS MAX.

  • Have you added the Sleep widget to the watch? That is the start to see that the watch logs your sleep.

To get it to sync to Garmin Connect you need to look at the sleep widget. Quick glance is enough. Then it syncs. It might sync after a while anyway, but that is the method to make it sync right away.

Have you added the sleep card to My Day in the app? Scroll to the bottom and click Edit My Day. Make sure it isn't hidden.

  • Exactly what I do as well, and it works reliably and quickly every time.

  • Mine takes at least four hours to display. It’s pretty pathetic.

  • Have you tried viewing the widgets? You just have to press down or up button on watch and then the watch will sync and you will see the sleep in Garmin Connect as soon as the sync is finished.

  • Yup! I added sleep as a widget after I saw your comment up top. Hopefully that’ll fix it. I was just thinking a watch with a hefty price tag should work without added steps. Thanks

  • There's a lot of good information in Garmin Support that might help resolve many of the issues and permit a better understanding:

Note also that Sleep data will only sync promptly to GCM if you wake up outside your sleep window. If you wake up during your sleep window the data will not sync immediately. During the sleep window some time and some movement has to happen before your watch will determine that you are awake and not just moving around for a brief period before getting back to bed.

  • Good morning! Unfortunately, my 945 is still missing sleep data. I tried to give it at least two nights to if fixes itself, but to no avail. I also added the sleep widget and that haven’t  helped either. I’ll most likely reach out to Garmin for assistance if I can’t get it going.

  • Do you see the Sleep in the widget on the watch? And the trick to look at the widget on the watch before you sync didn't work?

I just checked this morning. I got the sleep widget as the 3rd from the top. I started by pressing the down button and syncing. That didn't work. When I pressed the up button the watch synced automatically and the sleep was displayed in Garmin Connect.

  • Ok so I got it to work today. I reset the watch last night and changed a few things. I’m hoping I’ve solved the problem.
