When running (HRM Run) the measured HR has short but sharp drops in it.
The picture spans approximately 90 mins
Any ideas as to why?

No ideas but I have been seeing these for many years on different straps and OHR on different watches. Since I cannot pin it down to a strap or a watch I’ve come to the conclusion it’s something to do with my physiology. This is from the other day - two on WHR, one on HRM-Pro
I have exactly the same issue with the FR945 and the HRM-Tri. Looks the same as yours. I have solved it by using my FR935 for running with this strap. There the chart is smooth without any drop-outs. It's definetely something with the watch FW (e.g. Sensor Hub).
Should you also own a FR935 please try it with that one and compare. It would be interesting if you could confirm my observation.
No I haven't. Thought I'd wait until I had a cardiac arrest lol!
Seriously though, I've done some exercise use with 12-channel ECGs for research and no anomalies have been seen. That's not to say the same applies to you. I did use to think it was strap only but when OHR became a thing I saw the same thing, so clearly not (in my case anyway) strap related.

As noted I've seen this with straps and OHR (since 935). Straps are HRM-RUN (sensor module), HRM-Pro, and HRM-Dual used with 910XT, 920XT, 935, 945, F6 and Marq Athlete.
