Jeez what a negativity. It's a pretty major update, so I prefer Garmin taking their time and doing an incremental release.
What's another couple of days, it's not as if our 945 is not functional right…
With every update every one is complaining that it is taking so long. They are adding more features. I bought mine almost when it came out first. I bought it because ofthe features it had at the time.…
Advice don't install the new version for now, because there are many bug reports.
Didn't it move to 25% on Tuesday, or am I wrong? It's getting to the point where, either the update is ready for prime time or not. The thing dropped on Friday, for crying out loud. Either yank it, or roll that bad boy out. The lack of movement here is not confidence inspiring.
This is getting a bit frustrating. Some of the key features in this release got announced last summer(?!). Then they finally made into a beta release almost four weeks ago and now it takes a week to get to 25% roll out?! Sorry Garmin, if you want to charging way beyond premium prices for the watches you need to show them some more love after they were sold...

If you really can't wait just install 6.85 manually until it's your turn for 7.10.
The only thing Garmin might facilitate in these cases imho is an option to manually install a final release in the same manner as a beta release, so that those who really cannot await their turn and keep posting about it can update themselves.
I think we're boned. They actually just pulled the Fenix 6 version of this firmware today after fully releasing it. Maybe they fixed something in the software before giving it to us (they've had it since last Wednesday), but I doubt it.
I would think that's part of the deal when you charge ~50% more than your competitors. I know like for like comparison is diffucult in this segment but still, Garmin at the same time really isn't the only one with continued support and updates...

The price might be higher but the individual chooses to pay the price. There's no coercion involved.
