Hi All,
I don't know how the rest of lucky or unlucky users of new 7.10 firmware, but in my case after over 1 week different tests, everything seems to be OK - no crashes, no freezes, all needed functionalities…
Sorry about that' it's corrected now.
Hi,
no issues for me on new 7.10 version. Sleep tracking directly on device works correct, saving activity works correct, LAP button works, battery seems to be OK as on previous firmware - 0,1% /hour in…
Yesterday, 10% rollout, my watch updated language packs and sensor hub only.
As I use beta 6.85, I am in no hurry for 7.10 but I am surprised it's been 36h and we are still at 10% rollout and weekend has started. Well, we will need to wait till Monday for wider rollout. Pity.
Not sure if this is now considered the main update thread, but don't really want to make another topic...
Noticed my watchface reset itself to stock, so apparently my watch was updated over night and connectiq watchfaces and widgets didn't work anymore (exclamation mark). I reinstalled those, but also hard restarted my watch and now it seems to be ok again,.
Also have a few connectiq apps which I did not re-install, and they also work now so perhaps a hard restart was all that was needed afterall.
i gotta be honest: the rollout of 10% for two days and some posts of lap button not working or other problems makes me feels the same way - my looking forward to this update with trail vo2max and sleep is a bit mixed with worry some other stuff might break.
Just disable auto-update and wait for some days/weeks. Garmin never increases the rollout during weekends, so it is absolutely normal that the update stays at 10%.
Since upgrading, mine is doing something similar. It frequently reverts to the stock watch face and all the CIQ functions stop working until it is reset, and then everything works fine again for a while. Haven't found a single trigger, although doing an activity or playing music appear to trigger the failure of all CIQ based sw.
7.10 appeared for my watch this morning, after the update the watch face I was using (Neat Weather) had that broken CIQ app icon & the watch reverted to the default face. A soft reset (holding in the power button) looks to have sorted it out. Hopefully no other problems are waiting for me to find!
I had a similar issue with a couple workouts. Specifically a "Cardio" and a "Bike" both not record. It started the activities normally, saved them when completed, but nothing was actually recorded. I checked the file system, but there were no FIT files to be found. Very peculiar. When I finished the activity the watch face also reverted back to the factory and wouldn't allow me to switch to my custom. It just showed the "IQ!" logo when I selected it. A standard reboot seemed to fix it, but 2 days later (today) after pulling it off of the charger, it did the same thing. A reboot seemed to resolve it again. Any thoughts on this one Garmin?
Similar issues here after overnight surprise update - lap not working for strength training and the 14km run has just disappeared. Whilst in the run, no distance nor lap details were displaying. Now I have rebooted and sync'd a few times, I have my old watch face back so hoping running data starts to work again. Very disappointing Garmin.
