How to update the preinstalled maps that come with the Garmin 945?

Are the preinstalled maps that come with the Garmin 945 updated via WIFI/Bluetooth together with a firmware update or is it mandatory to connect the watch to a computer and use Garmin Express? I am talking about the preinstalled maps that come by default (Wordwide DEM, TopoActive Europe 2018.20 North East and TopoActive Europe 2018.20 South West), because I've never used Garmin Express and I don't know if I have the latest version.

doesn't work, unsufficient space to update topoactive maps on forerunner 945

It will.. there was issue, but it's resolved, if still not working look at the instructions in this:

And for the Fenix 6 side.

I've had massive troubles lately due to the TOPO Europe file being too big, so I recomend not installing it. I would rather learn how to install maps on your own, and pick and choose what you need.
