945 currently on sale for 549.99 - sign that 955 is close?

no, everything about the release of the forerunner 955 is pure speculation

DCR pretty much poured scorn on the idea of a 945 about a week or two back. If it was real I would think he’d be testing it or at least know about it. 

obviously he’s under NDA but I can’t believe he’d go out of his way to cast doubt on the idea when it’s coming. 

Owned the 945 since release and apart from some bugs every now and then it\s nowhere as bad as that... 

People make it seem as if garmin releases crap which takes x months to a year to be usable, absolutely not the case imo. Yeah, they mess up every now and then, *** happens. The watch has still been a joy to use since day one and still is now 2 years later.

If a 955 is released and it's a real improvement I wouldn't think twice about making the switch.

I'd think the 645 would get a replacement first.  That watch is *old*.  The 735xt finally got a replacement, the 645 is next in line.  The 945 is getting a raft of new features; I just don't think it's imminent.  I'd think fall at the soonest.  

I feel that the 645 is a bit dead now as the 245 covers it pretty much and if more features needed you step up to fenix/945
