Force Virtual Run to Start (without software detection)

I have semi-recently started using my 945 in Virtual Run with my PC for various HR readings, however it turns itself off after 30 minutes.

I manually connected the device to my PC over Bluetooth, and starting a Virtual Run works great for sending HR data to my PC.  However, as no software is detected it times out after 30 minutes.  I would like to force the activity to start, both to avoid the timeout and to log the activity.

I frustratingly bought a HRM-Tri a few months ago, had I known the HRM-Pro was coming out shortly after I would have waited.  With its Bluetooth I could at least use it with my PC, but still wouldn't get tracking.

One of the main software packages I am using it with is called YUR (YUR Fit - YUR).  It tracks my VR cardio programs while its too cold or dark to reasonably go out for a run or ride.

If anyone has a suggestion it would be appreciated.

  • A trick could be to connect it to Zwift and if you don't want to use Zwift then just ignore the application. The activity will not time out.

This can be solved by getting an ANT+ dongle. Works great when I use it with Zwift.
