OW swim on 735xt. Watch measurements versus Garmin Connect App

Hi. The distance showing on my watch after OW swim transfers to the Garmin Connect App as a different distance. For example this morning I stopped my watch at 1300m but when it uploaded to the app it changed it to 1,191m

This is a new 735xt sent to me from Garmin as a replacement last October.

Any ideas?

1300yds = 1,188m (watch actually set to yards)?

Could you post a picture of the activity on the watch, and a picture of what Garmin Connect shows?

Thanks Andy275 - even though all settings on the watch appeared to be in Metres / Kilometres, OW swim was set to Miles - and so it was showing as Yards and then converting to Metres in the App

Glad that worked. Too much a coincidence otherwise! Bad news is that you will need to swim ~10% more! ;-)
