remaining distance and estimated time on a refueling and hourly barrier

May not be something you want to try  but an app like  appbuilder 5 (or 5+) allows you to write some fairly elaborate data fields  Not always simple but I have used it to do what I think you are are after on a trail marathon.  Distance and estimated time (based on rolling pace) to next rest area along with estimated finishing time.  Also used it for a backyard ultra where it used a rolling pace on each lap to estimate the time remaining for each lap, then switched to countdown until the next lap started.  I won't say that it was easy writing the fields until I had a bit more experience but they did work well in the end.

Example for the backyard Ultra (found this in my notes so not 100% sure it was what I used in the end):

Hello. I did several tests .... I have the next waypoint which is the next route to follow. but no waypoint. What can the waypoints be used for when creating a route if they cannot be used afterwards? I am preparing an Ultra trail and I would like to bring in the refreshments and even why not the summits in order to know how much time and kilometers I have left before I get there.

during the course follow-up how to have the waypoints and not the turn by turn? if the waypoint is drowned with the turn by turn there is no interest.
